Corn chowderCrockpot Corn Chowder

2 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ onion, finely chopped
2 cups fresh or frozen corn
1 16-oz can creamed corn
1 cup chicken stock
6 slices bacon, fried until crisp and crumbled
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup half and half (or cream, if desired)
additional crumbled bacon, for serving
green onion or chives, chopped


  1. Saute onion in oil until translucent.  Combine the chicken stock, onion, potatoes, corn, creamed corn, bacon, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper in a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Add in the half and half and cook an additional 15-20 minutes, until heated through.
  3. Serve topped with additional bacon and green onion or chives, if desired.
