Crockpot Corn Chowder
2 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ onion, finely chopped
2 cups fresh or frozen corn
1 16-oz can creamed corn
1 cup chicken stock
6 slices bacon, fried until crisp and crumbled
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup half and half (or cream, if desired)
additional crumbled bacon, for serving
green onion or chives, chopped
- Saute onion in oil until translucent. Combine the chicken stock, onion, potatoes, corn, creamed corn, bacon, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper in a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
- Add in the half and half and cook an additional 15-20 minutes, until heated through.
- Serve topped with additional bacon and green onion or chives, if desired.
