Another month has passed quickly, and it is time again to send off “Love in A Box” for December. Rick and I really enjoy putting together these fun boxes for our grandson. I usually come up with some crafty ideas with themes for each month and Rick supplies the cash gift and stands patiently in line at the PO to mail the package out. These love boxes are such a nice way to remind Sean Michael that, even though we are miles apart, we love and care about him and that he holds a special place in our hearts.
We do love him so!
In his box this month:
Call to Glory Kids (Preview Here)
Especially like the story of Jared moving to Arizona! Every month we mail him this monthly Christian devotional for kids. It is filled with great stories, games & puzzles that teach Bible principles for living on a level to which we can relate.
Just to remind him that “Jesus is the reason for the season”, I made him a match book money holder: 3″ x 73/4″, scored at 3/4″ & 4 1/2″. I stapled it at the bottom and covered with ribbon. The png clipart is posted here below to copy and can be resized to fit your needs. The inside jingle bell clipart is from a Clipart CD Winter Weather by Rebecca Carter from Provocraft (Not sure if this is still avaialable?)
The post it note holder tutorial can be found on Wendy Janson’s “It’s all about stamping” blog.
Hot Cocoa Package with Candy Cane Stir Stick
Cardstock size: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score ast 4 1/4″ & 5 3/4″ on the diagonal. The free Snowman clipart was found online here. Snowman hugs sign was done on my Silhouette Camo. That could be done on MS Word. White cardstock was embossed with dots (wished I had snowflakes.) Right side was hole punched and ribbon tie added. I did glue to bottom and right side to contain Cocoa packet.
The snowman candy wrapper download can be found here, with some cute embellishments different from mine. I used some black trim for earmuff band with small pompoms hot glued to each side.
And as always, a pack of tic tacs, this time in no special wrapper, but a bit larger size with candy cane “embellish-mint.”
They truly are!
Have a wonderful day,
