His Word for My Week – Developing Our Faith

I-sought-the-Lord-and-He-answered-me-and-delivered-me-from-all-my-fears-psalm-34-4-grace-and-strength-diet

Scripture:
Psalm 34:4-6
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.  They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.  This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him from all his troubles.”

Reflection:
It seems like recently so many of our friends and family have been going through such difficult times…one trial after another!  Situations that seem to stretch us beyond our limits.  Is this God’s training camp for faith building?  Are these challenging times preparation for tougher days ahead?  Most likely!  God wants us rely on Him on a daily basis to provide our needs.  How good to remember that our powerful God is able to handle any and all of our troubles.   The more we place our trust in Him, the more trustworthy He proves Himself to be.  I am learning that every new trial is just “another opportunity to trust Him.

Prayer:
“Heaven Father, You have seen us through so many difficult times in our lives and have proved Yourself faithful.  You are a God who does hear.  You are a good and caring God who has answered our prayers in such amazing ways.  Thank You for those times that you have whittled away at us and allowed us to go through the refining fire that we may become more like our Savior.  Help us to continue to rely on You for Your will in every life situation knowing full well You can and will meet our needs.  Help us to trust You for unseen things.  Great is Your Faithfulness!  In Jesus name and for His sake, Amen!”

“O taste and see that the LORD is good:  blessed is the man that trusted in him.”
Psalm 34:8

Have a blessed day,
