This is my hubby’s all-time favorite BBQ Chicken. One of our favorite places to stop in New York is the Lisle Firehouse on Main Street in Lisle, NY when they are serving their Chicken BBQ. This is my version of the Poultry Seasoning BBQ Sauce.
1 c. oil
1 pint vinegar
4 tbs. salt
1 tbs. poultry seasoning (Bell’s is the best!)
1 tsp. pepper
1 egg
Mix all the ingredients. Marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours. Place met on grill and baste every 8 minutes until done. We just love the burnt crispy skin!
Accompany with corn on the cob, BBQ beans, and some coleslaw. I cut the recipe in half for just my husband and I use the whole egg.
As our bother-in-law, Jeff, would say, “Good Groceries!”
