Fairy Duster in bloom!

Peaked out the back door this morning to see this Fairy Duster in full bloom with its bright red flowers.   Monsoon rains help bring forth the blossoms on our Baja Fairy Duster .  It is a very drought tolerate plant so works well in our low desert yard.  When I went to photograph it this morning, I discovered that it was covered with bees.   It is one of the top 10 shrubs listed for pollinating.  Its blossoms do resemble something a tidy fairy might use for dusting and it blooms year around in the low desert, taking a timeout only when temperatures drop into freezing.  It attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and songbirds.
