Open Heart, Open Home

The title of my post today is from a book I have previously read about practicing hospitality. The Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 4:9 “Use hospitality one to another without grudging.” So often we make having folks over such a task.   Yes, it does take a bit of effort, but well worth the effort to be able to share in each others’ lives.

What a great morning we had with our friends and neighbors, Gayle and Mike. We were so engrossed in each other’s conversations that we hardly realized how time had flown by and the morning was gone! In just a couple of hours we uncovered a lifetime of information about each other…so very interesting. How wonderful it was to spend time together allowing God to connect us “heart-to-heart.”

Thanks Gayle and Mike for stopping by and spending time with Rick and I.  We so enjoyed your company!  Let’s do it again real soon!
