Today I am thankful for:
- the quietness of early morning….rising before dawn, sitting on the patio with a good cup of coffee and listening to the birds singing.
- for my daughter passing her lifeguard training. She has worked so hard to accomplish this in spite of her asthma (especially deep water rescues.) I am so proud of her! She has already used her training in pulling a little boy up out of the water who had taken off his life vest during the preschool swim lesson.
- tea parties! Our church served a traditional English tea to celebrate Mother’s Day. The tables were adorned beautifully with fine china, crystal and white linen napkins. The menu–scones with Devonshire cream, lemon curd, jam, raspberry tarts, chocolate truffles (check out the recipe tomorrow), lemon squares, and dainty desserts. Our speaker and pastor’s wife, Crystal Roe, challenged us to display the quali-teas of Godly mothers, i.e., humili-tea, hospitali-tea, etc. It was quite a delightful day!
- my husband being my best friend. How I enjoy his daily presence! We do have such fun together!
Have a Blessed Day,
